Some Corvette chassis are starting to give serious problems. A corroded chassis can be the root cause of many headaches for the Corvette owner. If the handling of your car is poor, if the rear end feels unstable, even if you feel this is the only area that lets your car down, body off is the way to go. However, its not just a corroded or damaged chassis that can give problems, worn or non-existent bushings, corroded fuel and brake lines…when did you last look under your car?

To separate the body from the frame, remove engine and transmission, clean and prepare all components, prepare the chassis and respray in correct colours, respray engine and bay and underside of body, rustproof with Waxoil, and reassemble. Full video record of each stage. Additional work can be carried out at any stage including full disassembly and sandblasting, hot zinc spraying, welding, and detail work.

As well as being the answer for those cars with chassis and component wear or corrosion, It is also ideal for those Corvette owners who would like the satisfaction of knowing the chassis and drivetrain are finished to the same standards as the rest of the car.

This offer applies to Corvettes between 1956-1972. For later cars the removal and refit of front and rear cones incur extra cost.

Generally speaking this particular task is outside the scope of the average home mechanic, as it is unlikely that Oxy acetylene for heating and cutting, a lathe for bush machining, press for bush inserting, lifting gear, paint shop, wheel aligning equipment etc is available.

Improve your solid axle or 63-64 Corvettes stopping power dramatically, eliminate fade and the tendency to wander under hard braking. Whilst the Corvettes drum brakes are very effective, this disc brake conversion will make your Corvette stop as well it goes.

Our disc brake conversion is rapidly becoming one of our most popular packages. To include the following:

  • To remove front hubs, fit s/h hub assemblies with new bearings, fit new S/S calipers and pads, fit new brake flexi’s and front/rear proportioning valve.
  • 1953-62 cars retain the original master cylinder unless specified, original front hubs and twin pot calipers.
  • 1963-4 cars utilise 1965 onward front hubs, four pot calipers, and dual circuit master cylinder.

All the owners of early Corvettes that have had this conversion carried out have all said that it is the biggest single improvement made to their cars.

Front Suspension Overhaul £499 + VAT

We now offer a full front suspension overhaul package. To include the following: Remove upper and lower A - arms, replace upper and lower bushes and refit with new coil springs and anti roll bar link kits. This package is a major step toward improving your Corvettes handling and driveability.

Rear Spring Replacement £399 + VAT

Too often overlooked, if your rear spring is starting to flatten, or is cranked up, now is the time for replacement. Act now before your rear spring gives way and causes serious damage..Or worse. Remove rear spring and fit new steel leaf spring, end bolts and mount cushions, reset camber.

Composite mono springs can be fitted at extra cost.

Full Suspension Overhaul £899 + VAT

This is the way to really make your Corvette get down and boogie. We can make your Corvette as tight and together as the day it was built with our full suspension overhaul package. To remove upper and lower A - arms, replace upper and lower bushes and refit with new coil springs and anti roll bar link kits. Remove rear spring and fit new steel leaf spring, end bolts and mount cushions. Remove rear camber bushes and fit new. Reset camber.

Given the right tyre choice the above package will transform your Corvette and give it the kind of handling it deserves. Any other work required, e.g. ball joints, shock absorbers etc can be carried out economically at this time.
